6 More Added to the Cast of X-Men Origins: Wolverine Movie

Wolverine may be the X-Men's resident loner, but that doesn't mean he won't be bringing a whole lot of company with him when his solo movie debuts on May 1, 2009!

Twentieth Century Fox has officially announced six of Hugh Jackman's co-stars, including Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Gambit, as played by "Friday Night Lights" star Taylor Kitsch!

What, you want even more? Well how about Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am as John Wraith, Danny Huston as Col. William Stryker and Lynn Collins as Kayla Silver Fox? Add in Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth and you've got a movie that even the big screen will have trouble holding in!

It's now been confirmed that Agent Zero and a character named Barnell also make the list.

Barnell, played by "Lost" and "Lord of the Rings" star Dominic Monaghan, could be the avian mutant Beak, though a recent "Variety" article describes the character as having electricity and energy manipulation powers, so he could be a new mutant with the same name.

Agent Zero, on the other hand, has a long and storied history. International actor Daniel Henney steps into the shoes of the Agent Zero, formerly the hero Maverick. It will be interesting to see how Zero's deep ties to Wolverine and Sabretooth will be handled.

JLA Release Set

UK, February 27, 2008 - It's official: Justice League of America is going into production, with the film now definitely set for a 2009 release.

The Warner Bros. movie has been beset by problems; firstly when the movie had to be put on hold due to the writers strike, then when the options on the cast lapsed last month, and most recently with rumours that production might move from Sydney to Canada.

According to Variety, however, all these issues have been resolved, with scribes Kieran and Michele Mulroney now back to work polishing the script. A final draft is due to be handed to director George Miller -- apparently in pre-production in Australia, not Canada -- in two weeks time.

The previously announced cast are all still onboard and have "been told to continue their superhero training." They include Adam Brody as the Flash, rapper Common as the Green Lantern and Armie Hammer Jr. as Batman. At present Superman is the only main character not to have been cast, although relative newcomer D.J. Cotrona has been linked with the role.
